We have specially designed these padded potty training pants to fit loosely so that they can be pulled on and off by the toddler, without adult help. Not only does this increase the chance of getting to the potty on time, but it also makes the whole process much more independent, which is the goal of this potty training system.
They have an absorbent center panel that contains the accidents, but will make your toddler uncomfortable and therefore increase her awareness of her excretory function, especially when compared to diapers and pull-ups.
The potty pants feature breathable side panels, wide rib leg bands for a comfortable fit and a center panel with fiber sponge for super absorbency.
These padded potty training pants are very comparable to the Gerber training pants.

These underpants are thick and absorbent. They contain a LOT of the pee. That doesn't necessarily mean all of it, but a lot. If you're concerned about leakage, I think a plastic cover would be the way to go. They seemed to reach their best absorbency after a couple of washes. The size (my daughter is 22 months now, weighs around 23 pounds, and wears the X-small size) seems to be on target with their recommendations. I believe in trying to save the world (avoiding as many disposable diapers/pull-ups as possible), and I believe using cloth is a much better training method. These panties are the way to go for that.

I purchased several different cloth training pants and these were my initial favorite. But within a week, my two year old didn't need a training pant that was so absorbent. So, I now prefer the Gerber training pants, which are not as absorbent and therefore, more effective in teaching about getting pants dry. In addition, my daughter has become interested in what is on the pants and prefers the cupcakes or flowers on the Gerber pants versus these.
I did give these 4 stars though as they are very nice fitting and were initially my favorite training pant. They are not too bulky, absorbent, but not completely and very soft. I would recommend one set of these if you are planning to potty train. We will continue to use these for a while, even though they are no longer our first pick.

I purchased these last year when I began training my daughter. She is now 3 years old and almost fully potty trained. I'm now doing the night time training using these patty and cover along with the waterproof bed covers. These are excellent, they absorb majority of the wetness without leakage. The child's clothes will become wet but no leaks on the floor (which was a major concern for my wood floors). In no time my daughter was trained with these panties. I purchased both x-small and small along with the Gerbers training panties. These are excellent for beginning potty training and then later introducing Gerbers which would lead to the final stage of full panties. The Gerbers don't hold much of wetness like the patty but it's also a great resource. In the daytime, my daughter wears regular panties and these at night now. I would recommend these fully over using any form of pull-ups. I was using pull-ups when we went out in case of accidents and at night and I saw that they only delay the potty process. Overall they are great and the sizing are perfect. My daughter is small weighting 25 pounds at 3 years and the x-small is perfect and the small gives some room for growth which is perfect at nights. This is definite buy for every mom!
